Reduce pharmacy theft and stock shrinkage
Most pharmacy theft isn't dramatic. It's a quiet refund here, a drawer a few cedis short there, three tablets that were never rung up. Each trick survives on the same thing: no record. PharmHive's job is to make sure there is always a record.
Common questions
Can staff delete the evidence after taking money?
No. The audit trail is append-only: it records who did what, when, and the old and new values, and there is no edit or delete for it in the product - not for staff, not for managers, not even for the owner. Actions can be corrected, but the correction itself becomes another entry.
How do returns get abused, and how does PharmHive stop it?
The classic scheme is a fake refund: 'return' an item that never came back and pocket the cash. In PharmHive you can require owner approval for returns based on thresholds you set - amount, days since the sale, number of items, prescription items, or specific cashiers - so the refund waits as a pending request until you act on it.
How quickly would I notice a cash shortage?
The same day. Every shift closes with a physical cash count against the expected figure computed from that shift's sales, and the variance is recorded per shift, per cashier. A cashier who is short on Tuesday is a conversation on Tuesday, not a mystery in December.
What about stock walking out the back door?
Every unit in or out is a row in the stock movement ledger - sale, delivery, adjustment, transfer, stock take, return - with the quantity before and after and the user who did it. Quantities cannot silently drift: if 10 became 7, the ledger says exactly when and under whose name, or the gap shows up at the next count.
Can I check on the shop without being there?
Yes. The owner dashboard shows sales, cash vs MoMo, variances, and stock alerts from anywhere, and the audit trail is searchable from your own device. Staff can't tell whether you're watching, which is rather the point.
Does any of this catch problems automatically?
Yes. The platform takes daily snapshots of every pharmacy's stock and alerts our team the same day if a tenant's inventory collapses in a way its recorded movements cannot explain, so large-scale anomalies are investigated even if nobody in the shop reports them.
