Pharmacy software that keeps working offline

Every 'cloud' POS demo looks great on the showroom Wi-Fi. The real test is a Tuesday afternoon when the network vanishes and a queue is forming. That's the exact situation PharmHive was designed for.

Common questions

How long can PharmHive run without internet?

Days at a time. The desktop app keeps a complete copy of your pharmacy's data in its own database on your computer, so selling, receiving stock, expenses, and shift closes all work with zero connectivity.

What happens when the internet comes back?

The app synchronises automatically in the background: sales go up to the cloud, and changes from other branches come down. There's nothing to click and no data entry to repeat.

What if two people edit the same record while offline?

Sales and stock movements never conflict (each is its own record). For editable records like product details, the most recent change wins, and the audit trail keeps a record of what changed.

Is offline data safe if my computer is stolen?

Your cloud copy is always current as of the last sync, so your business records survive the loss of a machine. We recommend device-level protections (login passwords, disk encryption) for the computer running the desktop app.

Do 'cloud' pharmacy systems really stop working offline?

Most browser-based systems can at best queue a few actions when the connection drops briefly. They cannot open a shift, look up stock they haven't cached, or run for days disconnected, because their only real database is on the internet. PharmHive's database is in your shop.
